Getting It Right First Time Programme (GIRFT)

Getting it Right First Time is a national programme supported by NHS Improvement which engages clinicians working in acute care with their own data to accelerate the adoption of evidence based practice through peer to peer discussion and review.  It has just had funding confirmed for the next three years.

For 2017, the GIRFT programme is expanding from 11 to 29 clinical workstreams, with neurology included in its new programme areas. GIRFT is currently in the process of recruiting clinical leads for neurology.  While data collection and reporting is likely to take some time, it is an opportunity for driving improvement in neurology.
